Labors of Love for AJ is a YouTube channel created by Steve Ackerman, Barry Sowder, and Elise MacElveen on October 4th, 2023. The channel is dedicated to supporting Angelina Jordan through the efforts of her fans, who are called Angels.
Our starting point is her mission . . .
ANGELS’ RESPONSE TO SECRET OF THE SOUL
Thank you for considering participating in this exciting project to personally support Angelina’s just-released album Secret of the Soul.
We, the Labors of Love for AJ team, would like to support you, as an Angel, in sharing your unique response.
THE INVITATION
Pick a favorite song off the album, and share a personal response!
FROM ANGELINA: During her Sept. 9, 2025 Instagram livestream just after the album released, Angelina said:
“Please send us messages, or post videos, or even make videos on TikTok, using the audio, and tell us which one (song) is your favorite and how it makes you feel”.
FROM MERY:
“All admirers are warmly invited to join their voices with Angelina’s. Simply choose your favorite song from the album and share your personal response – through singing, dancing, painting, writing, or any form of heartfelt experience”.

SUGGESTED WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
Some experienced or adventurous Angels will likely go ahead and do something creative, and post it themselves.
The target platform is TikTok – it’s acknowledged to be one of, if not the, best places for people to discover music, and that is where Mery and Angelina have a significant social media presence.
While some Angels may create one of these Angel Responses on their own and post it on their TikTok channel. Others may be reluctant, or unsure what to do, or unwilling or not know how to get on TikTok, etc. – but still desire to participate in some form.
OFFER OF SUPPORT
The Labors of Love for AJ team would like to help.
We (a team of 3) have coordinated several past fan engagement projects (e.g. Angels Dancing in the Park, the 2 Word Challenge, and the Go Barefoot for Princess Challenge), and so have experience and ‘infrastructure’ for publicizing these projects, recruiting participants, working creatively with many of you talented and caring Angels, collecting, editing and publishing videos, etc.
Working with any Angels who wish to take part, we would like to help fulfill Angelina and Mery’s request for Angel Responses to Secret of the Soul.
Here are some ways we could help:

Be a sounding board for ideas you might have.

Make connections among fans who may want to collaborate.

Help you on TikTok, either in editing or publishing, or getting you signed up on TikTok (TT) - if you would like to publish your video to your own TT account.

If you prefer not to sign up for TT, we’ll post them to our TT channel (Labors of Love for AJ – which already exists) – upon your approval.

Collect the TikTok Angel Response posts, and collate them into videos that can be viewed on YouTube, where so many Angels spend their time.

Provide video editing services for anyone with a vision for a video, but is not familiar with editing tools.

Help in adding the song you are responding to as music in your video.

Assist in coming up with ideas (beyond Mery’s possibilities):

Do you have any passions, or hobbies, that could be connected to one of the songs, or your response to it?

Based on Angelina’s request, an ideal response would be a recording of yourself saying how your favorite song makes you feel. (Remember that what you feel about a song can be something different than what you think about a song. We can help you express your feelings if you'd like.)

For those unsure or unwilling to participate visually, an option would be to record audio of your feelings, or even describe it in writing…..then we could turn it into a TikTok video.
INSTRUCTIONS
Here's how to participate:
1. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page. You will reach it by clicking the "Entry Form" button at the bottom of this page.
2. Please provide your name, email address, and location (optional).
3. When you are done, press the “submit form” button at the bottom of the page.
4. Be on the lookout for an email we will be sending you in the next few days. It will include a link to an additional form where you can upload your video or other media so that we can either help you with it or publish it on our TikTok channel. We also can have further discussions at that time.
NOTE: Please help us out by letting fellow angels (that you can contact) know about this effort right now! Email, DM, text or call them . . . Not all angels visit the Facebook fan clubs regularly, which is where we first publicized this effort. You can give them this link.
